Safety

Are You Planning an Event? Here are Information on Safety

Questionnaire

In order to ensure that all participants and audience members feel comfortable at all events organised as part of "Tacheles", we have been in close contact with the security authorities. We want to provide as much security as necessary, but create as few threatening situations as possible. In order to support event organisers in advance with these issues, we have agreed on the following procedure with the Chemnitz Police Department:

If you are planning an event, please fill out the attached questionnaire and send it to leni.thiele@lfa.sachsen.de or tacheles@smac.sachsen.de. We will forward the information to the police, who will in turn pass it on to the police department responsible for the event location. The local police station will then assess whether they believe there is a need to provide security for the event and, if necessary, discuss further steps with you. Please fill out the questionnaire as completely as possible. This will enable the police to better assess the security requirements for your event.

Our mission statement

Against the backdrop of the dramatic increase in anti-Semitic violence and discrimination in Germany, and in solidarity with the Jewish community and appreciation of Jewish life in Saxony, the project team and board of trustees of TACHELES 2026, the Year of Jewish Culture in Saxony, have developed the following mission statement for respectful interaction with one another.
