Netiquette

On our social media channels, we strive to maintain a respectful atmosphere. To ensure this, we have created this netiquette, which we will refer to when necessary.

• WE LOOK FORWARD to connecting with interested parties on our channels and engaging in constructive and objective discussions. Comments on published content are expressly encouraged, and questions are always welcome.

• WE APPRECIATE mutual consideration and respect. These form the basis for constructive dialogue. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. What applies in everyday life should also apply to social media. We may be operating in a virtual space, but we have real feelings.

• WE ARE NOT HAPPY about off-topic posts, links or comments. This also applies to floods of comments or repetitions of the same comments under different posts.

• WE ALSO DO NOT APPRECIATE commercial posts.

• WE STRONGLY REJECT racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, pornography, violence and any kind of hate speech.

Freedom of expression under Article 5(1) of the German Basic Law grants every person the right to freely express and disseminate their opinions in speech, writing and images. This freedom ends precisely when the dignity of other people is violated or when calls are made to violate the physical integrity or freedom of another person. Racism and the glorification of violence are not covered by freedom of expression. This also includes discrimination against individuals or groups on the basis of origin, religion, physical characteristics, sexual identity, nationality, gender or age. Similarly, pornographic, youth-endangering, inflammatory or otherwise criminal statements and images will not be tolerated.
WE THEREFORE RESERVE THE RIGHT to delete inappropriate posts that violate these basic rules of social networking from the site and to block and report individual users in the event of repeated violations.
