TACHELES launch press conference

On 7 March 2024, the content and objectives of the Saxon theme year were presented at the Chemnitz State Museum of Archaeology

What is planned for the Saxon theme year? How did it come about in the first place? What content is to be conveyed? Who is the Year of Jewish Culture aimed at? Who is behind the idea? What does Tacheles mean and why was it chosen as the title? What funding is available? These and other questions were answered by Minister of State Barbara Klepsch together with the two chairs of the theme year's board of trustees, the former Mayor of Chemnitz Barbara Ludwig and the Chair of the Saxony State Association of Jewish Communities, Dr Nora Goldenbogen, as well as the project team, represented by spokesperson Dr Nora Pester.
