We honour the memory of Nora Goldenbogen
25 November 2024: It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Dr Nora Goldenbogen.
"This short, tall woman will be missed so much and by so many people. So will we," says Barbara Ludwig, who headed the TACHELES 2026 Board of Trustees together with Nora Goldenbogen. "Her wisdom, warm-heartedness and modesty always made a big impression on us. We will also miss our conversations with her, which were always warm, sometimes thoughtful and very emphatic."
Nora Goldenbogen leaves a huge gap in Saxony's Jewish community and with everyone who loved and appreciated her. She was not only an important source of ideas, advice and guidance for us as a project team, she inspired, encouraged and strengthened so many people.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends, to whom we would like to express our deepest condolences. May her soul be bound up in the covenant of life; 1 Sam 25:29.
