For 65 years, Herkuleskeule has been known for its courageous, controversial and, above all, political cabaret. The ensemble, led by its artistic director Philipp Schaller, is convinced that critical satire is what the current times need. Satire that does not dictate opinions, but rather lets people think things through for themselves.

Opinion-forming through education and opinion.

The point here is not to be right, but to discuss it. And of course it can also be a laughing matter, even if it is actually serious. And so Dresden actually goes to the cellar to laugh. In the cabaret cellar of the Herkuleskeule in the Kulturpalast right in the heart of the city. And here in the 244-seat hall, the cabaret artists prefer to sit between all the political chairs. No, they don't want to make themselves comfortable. And certainly not easy. And they don't want to lecture anyone. Just modern political cabaret.
