Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig (MdbK)

The Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig (MdbK) is one of Germany's largest municipal art museums. Founded in 1848 through civic engagement, its collection encompasses works primarily from European art history spanning eight centuries: over 5,000 photographs and media works, approximately 4,600 paintings, over 70,000 works on paper, and around 1,800 sculptures, reliefs, and installations. The MdbK is an authentic space for sensory experiences. Artworks foster discourse, interaction, and education.
