Leipzig Opera

Oper Leipzig, founded over 330 years ago, has been under the artistic direction of cultural manager Tobias Wolff since 2022. The lively repertoire theatre of the highest quality in the heart of the city pursues a consistent strategy of sustainability. The Gewandhaus Orchestra traditionally plays in the orchestra pit of today's opera house on Augustusplatz.
