A PATH, A PRAYER

The project is a collaboration between two siblings: the choreographer and dancer Nitsan Avraham Margaliot and the actress and singer Shir Yehudit Margaliot. They bring contemporary Jewish perspectives to issues of flight, memory and legacy. Through live-recorded poetic texts, songs, soundscapes and choreography, they jointly recount their family’s story of flight from Chemnitz and make the transitions from the past to the present palpable.

A PATH, A PRAYER explores questions of cross-generational experiences. A contemporary prayer serves as a connecting element between performance, sound and film, opening up a new path towards remembrance and reconciliation. The work creates a space for dialogue that transcends time and place, leading to a fragmented coexistence.
